Figs, mascarpone cream and mint

Today I have enjoyed making this delicious dessert. A wonderful blend of local Cotswolds products (the figs & mint) and the Italian culinary tradition.

The figs are cooked in honey with a little lemon zest, and the mascarpone cream is flavoured with some mint leaves. The whole is accompanied by some biscuits, “lingue di gatto” in Italian or “langues de chat” in French.
